Maria Hoel
It all started when I chose to do an internship as part of my Bachelor degree in Economics and Leadership. Since then I have transitioned to a full time position working as a Project Manager in the Thermal Insulation and Coating department.
Project Manager
As a Project Manager I work in close collaboration with the Sales Managers. Once a sale has been secured, new projects are handed over to us, the Project Managers. We maintain close contact with the customer and ensure that they are satisfied clients and that we deliver our products according to their desires. We also have a close partnership with the various departments within our company including the Engineers that are responsible for the technical solution of the purchase order.
We need to coordinate with procurement to ensure that we order all the necessary parts to fulfil the purchase order. Effective communication and planning with production planners is essential. This enables the factory to schedule when we need to initiate production to have the product ready for the delivery deadline.
Here at Vipo, there is a good working environment where we have colleagues and customers from various countries. This is one of the things that make the position of a Project Manager a very rewarding job. Also, there is a great amount of colleagues with a lot of knowledge and experience and you always learn something new from them. I look forward to what the next day will bring and what we as a company will be able to achieve in the future.
