At Vipo, we have Sales Managers in each business group with a responsibility for various market segments. In the Applied Technology business group, the role of the Sales Managers is to sell our technology into industries outside of our core business, Oil and Gas. The specific focus for our Applied Technology team has been the Defense and Renewable Energy industries.
Sales Manager
Selling our products and technology to the renewable sector means building and securing relationships with new customers and key stakeholders. This is done through a sales and marketing strategy developed along with the marketing and management team. Once we have identified potential customers, it's about finding out the needs and challenges for which we can offer solutions. If the requirements are within Vipo’s scope of work, the sales manager will work closely with the proposal manager and present our solutions to the customer. If there is a need for the development of a new product or technology, the sales manager will cooperate with the engineering and management team to build a business case.
If the opportunity is aligned to the capabilities and strategy of Vipo, new solutions can be developed and proposed to the customer. The role of a Sales Manager also includes working with the Proposal Manager to ensure that a project is secured, maintain an overview of competitors, propose development needs based on market requirements and maintain our database of existing and potential customers.
